Terms of Service

Welcome to LockIP ("we," "our," "us"). By registering an account or using our services, you ("you," "your," "user") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

1. Services Provided

LockIP provides Dynamic DNS (DDNS), related domain services, and associated infrastructure tools. Services may include domain name resolution, DNS record hosting, and APIs for customer account management.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any service with reasonable notice.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be 18 years or older (or the legal age of majority in your country) to use our services.
  • By registering, you represent that you have legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

You agree not to use LockIP services for:

  • Hosting, distributing, or linking to illegal content, including but not limited to:
    • Malware, botnet command-and-control, ransomware, spyware, or phishing.
    • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
    • Content infringing copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
  • Impersonating LockIP services or registering misleading subdomains.
  • Spam, unsolicited communications, or fraudulent activity.
  • Any activity violating applicable U.S., EU, UK, or international law.

4. Abuse Complaints & Takedowns

  • You must maintain valid contact information in your account.
  • Abuse complaints may be submitted to abuse@lockip.net.
  • We respond to verified abuse complaints within 24-48 hours.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or disable services without prior notice if we determine abuse or legal risk.

5. Privacy & Data Protection

  • We collect limited technical data necessary for providing services.
  • Data processing complies with GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and other applicable data protection laws.
  • Our Privacy Policy details retention, rights of access/erasure, and lawful bases of processing.

6. Payment & Billing

  • Certain services require subscription fees.
  • Payment processors handle billing on our behalf.
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your services.

7. Service Availability

LockIP aims for high service uptime but does not guarantee 100% availability.

8. Legal Compliance

Users must comply with all applicable laws in their jurisdiction.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Services are provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind.
